They literally put the platinum with exterior detail accents in patented Platinum Silver Metallic and the interior will come in exclusive Black Luxor Beige. Accents on the exterior are painted in Platinum Silver Metallic placed along the center and side air intake grills, the side window trim, the rear lip spoiler and the lower tailgate trim. Another 911 inspired feature is the Carrara White Metallic paint finish. The Platinum Edition exterior is completed with 19 inch Cayenne Design II wheels with colored Porsche crest.
The Black Luxor Beige two-tone interior combination is also reserved for these special edition models. Partial leather interior is standard, while a full leather interior is available as an option. The SportDesign steering wheel with paddle shifters, embossed headrests and floor mats with Luxor Beige edging plus front door entry guards with the "Platinum Edition" script put the finishing touches on the interior.
The 3.6-liter V6 engine delivers a powerful 300 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque and can go from 0 to 60 in 7.4 seconds. The Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition has a base MSRP price $63,300. The Cayenne Diesel Platinum Edition is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel engine with 240 hp and reaches 60 mph in 7.2 seconds. The Porsche Cayenne Diesel Platinum Edition has a base MSRP price of $66,900.
How can you make something that performs and exudes class even better? It’s a difficult formula but Porsche has figured it out -- their Platinum Edition takes the Cayenne in a whole new direction and makes an SUV with all the perks even more attractive.
